There are many questions that you need to ask when it comes to finding Pomeranian breeders. There are literally hundreds of thousands of different Pomeranian breeders out there, but it is important that you never rush in a process like this and rather take the necessary time to sort the good from the bad. There is what is known as mass breeders out there. These are breeders who are interested more in making a profit than in the health and wellbeing of their dogs, and therefore obviously breeders that you are going to want to avoid.

By asking yourself certain questions before dealing with any particular breeder, you will be able to ensure that you are avoiding these mass breeders and only dealing with the best. As a result you will be sure to get a dog that is healthy, happy and well behaved.
There are a few questions in particular that you are going to want to ask a breeder before agreeing to do business with them. One of the first and most important questions involves registration. You may come across a puppy that is not registered, and you will want to find out what the Pomeranian breeders reason was for this. You want to make sure that the breeder cares about the dogs and about what they are doing.

You will also want to question about the breeder’s background, asking for references and an experience statement. Be wary of any breeder who is unwilling to give you this information or who does not understand why you are asking for this sort of information. Also ask about the litter and why the litter was bred. You will not want to deal with any breeder who replies with an answer involving money. Remember that any good dog breeder is going to expect these sorts of inquiries and be agreeable to answer them.
You may be overwhelmed at first at the process of finding a great Pomeranian breeder. After all there are literally hundreds of thousands of breeders out there to choose from but the majority of which are not what you would expect. The only way to ensure that you are going to get a happy and healthy Pomeranian puppy is by taking your time and asking a breeder the right questions.

Always be wary of a breeder who is unwilling or unable to answer these sorts of questions. Any good breeder will be open and welcoming and more than happy to oblige and answer your inquiries. This is because a decent breeder will be more interested in the health and happiness of the dog and wants to ensure that they are going to a good owner, rather than in the profit they will be making as a result of the sale of the dog.

Rosie Allan is an expert on British royal dogs and lives in the countryside of London with two Pomeranians. The Pomeranian, a favorite of royalty, is a descendant of the Spitz sled dogs. Queen Victoria of England, who once had 35 Pomeranians, made the dog popular in England in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
