I have a black Pomeranian with an old leg injury (A bone Chip), he can usually walk about an hour befor he limps, and I`m the one who walks the Dogs every day, how long should I walk him for? I also have 7 year old Poshie.
talk to your vet but i would say an hour is to much for him

My last dog had something like that, in her case they found a small healed crack in her actual shoulder joint. Some days it was bad, most days it was just chronic. She was on Metacam for 8 years but dosed intelligently only giving the max dose on bad days. I also gave Glucosamine and Chondoroitin. She was able to go a mile or so without problems until the last year of her life.
Remember dogs are stoic, so try to end the walk before the limp shows up and thereby avoid too much abrasive damage.
