I know, this sounds so awful, I have a 3 year old male pomeranian and he bites anyone that comes near me, in the face. He even scarred my ex boyfriends face. It’s getting presumably worse, how can i make him stop??? I’m worried one day he may bite a stranger or worse a child.
Thank you for your input. Does anyone recommend a good dog trainer in the LA area?
Talk to a private trainer or behaviorist and see what they have to say. You’re right for wanting to fix this problem, it could become very dangerous.

Take him to a dog trainer. They will teach you how to fix that problem. Or you could just put him in a cage when you have other people around. So that he has no further chances of face biting.

your dog thinks you belong to IT. when he starts to tense up in your arms while someone is coming to you, do what Ceasar Milan suggested and make a sharp "STTTTT!!!!!!!’ sound and sharply put the dog in the floor and ignore it. Have someone practice it that way on purpose with you until the dog realizes that biting = no love from mommy

How do you correct the bad behavior? Have you done any obedience training with him? That’s a good start because it establishes who is in charge. Since this is a dog with a bite history, work with the trainer instead of trying to change his behavior yourself. Dogs who have been in charge for years can get nasty when the owner becomes the boss.

take him to a training class possibly one on one i know it seems like it may be a waste but seriously i went one day to this class and the trainer sort of trained my dog a little in one day it was crazy so the could probably train your Pomeranian not to bite fairly soon.

You have every right to be worried, this could be a disaster waiting to happen, and he could be put down because of it. Since he is 3 years old and has this aggressive attitude I would contact a behaviorist for help. You MUST do it ASAP because this behavior will only get worse if not corrected now. While you are waiting for the behaviorist visits, you can start by nothing in life is free.
Good luck.
